What awards have you received in your field?
I was honored in 2012 through 2022 as a Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG) Gold Award recipient given to recognize loan originators who demonstrate excellence in mortgage banking via production, continuing education, professional ethics, and involvement with the association.
In 2022, I received an award for 10 consecutive years as a Gold Award Winner. I was also a recipient of the Top Gun Award in 2009, an award recognizing top-producing loan originators based on volume by the Georgia Association of Mortgage Professionals.
What makes you different than others in your profession?
My industry knowledge, communication, and responsiveness make the mortgage process pleasant and stress-free for both the clients and real estate agents. I have extensive experience in all programs and scenarios from first time home buyers, retired borrowers, borrowers looking to move up or scale down, borrowers building a home, or real estate investors. As a Mortgage Advisor, I can assist the borrower in finding the best loan program to meet their needs. I have expertise in all types of financing including Conventional, Jumbo, FHA, VA, USDA, GA Dream, SC Housing Programs, HomeReady, Home Possible, Investment, Construction to Permanent and Renovation loans.
I also lend in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Alabama, Texas and Tennessee, among several other states.
What do you enjoy doing on weekends?
I enjoy boating on Lake Keowee, hiking, playing Pickleball and spending time with family and friends.
What organizations have you been active in (career-related and nonprofit)?
I am part of the Downtown Merchants Association of Seneca, a member of both Oconee County and Clemson Chambers, an Affiliate Member of the Western Upstate Association of Realtors serving the Upstate of South Carolina, and an Affiliate Member of the Georgia Upstate Lakes Board of Realtors.
What is a typical day like for you? Describe it.
I respond quickly to calls, emails, and texts at all hours, including nights and weekends. Real estate moves quickly and I am there to assist whenever an agent or borrower needs assistance.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don't know about?
I am learning to play the drums. It’s a great stress reliever.

Sue Ann has worked in the mortgage industry since 1982 and has extensive experience in both purchases and refinancing existing mortgages. Sue Ann’s goal is to provide excellent customer service and ensure that buying or refinancing your home is a pleasant experience. I have personally closed two loans in the past year with Sue Ann. She is always prompt with her responses, she and her staff keep me in the loop throughout the whole process. There is no guess work as to where my loan is in the process. And unlike so many lenders, I was approved at least 10 days prior to closing both times with very little stress involved. I recommend Sue Ann to everyone who asks.

Sue Ann did an excellent job in all aspects of the loan process. She took the time to understand what I was looking for in a mortgage and to provide the best loan possible for my situation. She was always available to answer questions (phone or email) and responded quickly and professionally when problems were encountered at closing (on the seller's side) so that I would not lose the house. She took the time to attend both closings to make sure that everything went smoothly on my side of the transaction. I would definitely recommend Sue Ann for anyone looking for a mortgage.

Working with Sue Ann was great. She was quick to get things together and when we had issues during our first attempt at closing due to an issue with the house, she was quick to make adjustments and ensure that our loan didn't fall through. 6 weeks later, we were ready to close and Sue Ann had everything ready to go so that the second closing went smoothly and the terms of our loan were still in place. Sue Ann was great to work with!

This is the second time we've obtained a loan through Sue Ann. Both times she helped us we were out of state. She was a fantastic help and was always available to assist us with any questions we had.
